FUNDRAISING

Annual fundraising events include coffee mornings  in Ardingly and a stall at the Christmas Fayre in Hapstead Hall, Ardingly. An alternative Christmas card project at St. Symphorian’s Church, Durrington has raised money for the work of the charity for several years.

Phil Payne, Ardingly, has taken part in three sponsored runs for the charity over the years and Tom Jarrett, New Zealand, raised money through a challenging sponsored cycle ride.

July 2025 Thank you  those who supported our table top sale on Ardingly Village Day. £167 was raised for school fees support for students at St. Mary Goretti School.

June 2025.  A coffee morning and some very generous donations enabled us  to buy 2 renovated Braille machines to take with us to Uganda for St. Mary Goretti Secondary School.  Thank you all those who supported this event.

March 2025. There were joyful celebrations as Kevin Acen who leads our work in Uganda through our partner NGO Itinga Charity Education Foundation received a prestigious Changemaker Award and Grant for our school from MTN Foundation . MTN is Uganda's leading telecommunications provider. The award goes to individuals and organisations  who are making a lasting difference to the lives of people in their communities. The MTN grant of 20,000,000 Uganda shillings provided the school with 3 desk top computers, a computer work station and 40 classroom desks. We are deeply grateful to Kevin for her inspiring dedication to making a positive difference to lives and to MTN for their wonderful support that will benefit students at St. Mary Goretti Secondary School for years to come.

2024. A big thank you to World Day of Prayer for a grant of £1000 which enabled us to buy computers and install JAWS screen reader for the blind.

A blind girl is using a computer for the first time. Her smile tells it all.
